Today, Wednesday 22 April, the 50th anniversary of the World Earth Day is celebrated. This year’s topic is the climate action. In the midst of the global COVID-19 crisis, billions of people were affected by the closure of schools and commercial activities, isolation and measures of social distancing. Established by the UN in 1970, even decades later the Earth Day remains very topical. This year, the health emergency caused by Coronavirus will prevent events and gatherings: we could still celebrate the Earth Day by respecting good daily practices at home, such as sorting waste and not wasting water.
