St Lucy Abbey

The Abbey of S. Lucia, dating back to the 12th century, was probably built on the branch of the Roman Via Claudia Nova which connected Alba Fucens to Fossa passing over the plateau. Inside there are frescoes dating back to the XII-XIII century, similar to those of the churches of Fossa and Bominaco, representing scenes from the life of Saint Lucia, the Passion, the Resurrection and the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and the Last Supper.
