- Trekking And Hiking
For those who love adventure, the challenge, the excitement of the summit, but also for those who are looking for a pleasant and relaxing walk through valleys and mountains in search of fun natural and cultural park, the chances are very numerous. From the relaxing walk in Valle D'Arano, a splendid basin surrounded by mountains, to the most complicated ascent of Mount Velino, from enchanted walk inside beech woods of the Sirente, to the more cultural excursions among small and quiet villages.
- Horseback Rides
Riding is an exiting alternative to discover nature slowly and admire, going along old carriage roads and mule tracks, uncontaminated landscapes, medieval villages, castles, churches, and monasteries. In the Park, in fact, it has been designed a network of Ippovia a ring that connects, for approximately 300 km, the entire territory and all of the protected villages. There have been recovered and restored water points, watering troughs and water sources that you meet along the way; realized new equipped stopping points with huts and points of fire and installed appropriate signs.
- By bike and mountain bike
The bike is always a simple and ecological mean of transport to discover the treasures of The Park of Sirente Velino and the sounds and perfumes that the nature offers. Thanks also to the Ippovia and to the different tracks, the park lends itself to be lived even with this mean.
- Nordic Walking
The Sirente Velino Park, thanks to the wide open spaces, it’s a gym in opened air, which lends itself to be lived even for the practice of a series of outdoor sports activities, such as Nordic walking. In the Sirente Velino Park a tracking network of 50 km it has been designed for lovers of this new sport, immersed in nature in the summer or in the snow in wintertime.
- Excursional Skiing
Another particularity of this area is represented by inexhaustible itineraries for fans of excursional skiing that in the Park of Sirente Velino can take their pick. Itineraries for all tastes in touch with nature: on the sunny course within interminable beech, low altitude, when snow conditions permit, such as touching the characteristic historic centers of the area, or at higher altitudes where the snow remains on occasions late in the spring. to wildlife of the Park.
- Snowboard and Ski Touring
In the heart of the Park Velino Sirente, the existence of two of the most important ski resorts of Apennine, provided with the most modern equipments, represents, without any doubt, the aim of skiing and snowboarding fans. Ovindoli and Campo Felice, in fact, with their 50 km of tracks, can be proud of a skiing tradition for more than thirty years, appreciated for the quality of the services, for the beauty of the tracks and for the healthiness of the air.
